Department of Pediatrics Vice Chair of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Chrystal Rutledge, M.D., associate professor in the Division of Pediatric Critical Care, was appointed the vice chair of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for the Department of Pediatrics in October 2022. Director—Fellowship Programs Diversity, Equity & Inclusion In 2023, Lece Webb, M.D., assistant professor in the Division of Pediatric Critical Care has taken on the role of the director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion for the fellowship programs. Co-Directors—Residency Program Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Chrystal Rutledge, M.D., associate professor in the Division of Pediatric Critical Care In 2023, Andrew Watson, M.D., assistant professor in the Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine assumed the role of co-director of diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives from Michael Lopez, M.D, M.P.H.

Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Accessibility and Advocacy (IDEAA) Council

To better reflect the goals of the council, the Pediatric Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council’s name was changed to the Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Accessibility and Advocacy Council in 2023. The council consists of staff, faculty, fellow and resident sections. IDEAA Council Leaders Include: Faculty Section Leaders: • Madhura Hallman, M.D., M.P.H, assistant professor in the Division of Pediatric Critical Care • Morissa Ladinsky, M.D., professor in the Division of Academic General Pediatrics Fellow Section Leaders: • Aphton Lane, D.O., fellow in the Division of Pediatric Critical Care • Lece Webb, M.D., assistant professor in the Division of Pediatric Critical Care serves as faculty mentor for the fellow section.
