Dr. Austin serves as the past president of the Alabama Psychological Association until January 2025. She serves as the co-chair, Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers, MI MED. Dr. Austin was selected as to participate at the Mid-Career Bootcamp (MCBC) by the Association of Psychologists in Academic Health Centers (APAHC). She serves as chair, Interprofessional Education (IPE) Special Interest Group for the Association of Psychologists in Academic Health Centers. Dr. Austin serves as a consultant, Screening Effectively and Empowering Now (SEEN) and Alabama Child Health Care Improvement Alliance (ACHIA). She serves as the secretary on the Board of Directors for Mind Grown. Tamera Coyne-Beasley, M.D., MPH, FAAP, FSAHM is a member of the Journal of Adolescent Health (JAH)’s Editorial Board. She served as guest editor for the Pediatric Clinics of North America’s issue on Vaccine Hesitancy. Dr. Coyne-Beasley was appointed to the Pediatric Academic Societies’ Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee as the American Pediatric Society Liaison. Dr. Coyne-Beasley was appointed to the American Pediatrics Society’s Finance Committee for a three-year term. Dr. Coyne-Beasley was selected to the National Academy of Science, Empowering Medicine’s Committee on progress toward human health and community resilience in the Gulf of Mexico. She serves on the Board of Directors for UNITY Consortium. She serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Vaccinate Your Family. Dr. Coyne-Beasley served as a committee member of Racism in Medicine at the Center for Health Equity Education and Advocacy, Harvard University.
