Dr. Coyne-Beasley served as a visiting professor in Chile and gave two keynote addresses at the Congress of the Chilean Pediatric Society. She received the Society for Adolescent Health and Medicines’ Adele Hoffman Visiting Professorship Award. Dr. Coyne-Beasley received the Legacy Award from the North Carolina Division of Public Health for her sustainable research and program development with the NC Violent Death Reporting System. Dr. Coyne-Beasley received the 2023 Heersink School of Medicine Professional Excellence Award. Samantha Hill, M.D., MPH, joined the editorial board for Journal of Pediatrics. Dr. Hill also served as an ad hoc member for the NIH Scientific Review Board—HIV Prevention and NIH Scientific Review Board—HIV vaccine. Dr. Hill was selected for induction as a member of the UAB Heersink School of Medicine Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Rebekah Savage, M.D. MPH, serves on the American Academy of Pediatrics PREP Substance Abuse editorial board; author: Adolescent Medicine and Pediatrics—2021–2023. Stephenie Wallace, M.D., MSPH, was inducted as a member of the UAB Heersink School of Medicine Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr. Wallace was appointed as the Adolescent Medicine Fellowship Director in the Division of Adolescent Medicine.
