Mitchell Cohen, M.D., serves as editor of the Association of Medical School Pediatric Department Chairs (AMSPDC) Pages in the Journal of Pediatrics, chair of the New Chair Committee of AMSPDC, member of the Board of Directors for ImproveCareNow and Advisory Committee for Consortium of Eosinophilic GastroIntestinal disorders Researchers (CEGIR). Dr. Cohen is the PI for the UAB and Children’s of Alabama Pediatric Pandemic Network (PPN). In collaboration with the nation’s children’s hospitals and their communities, the PPN seeks to coordinate, prepare and enable high-quality, equitable, research-based pediatric care in emergencies, disasters and pandemics. He completed his term as chair of the American Academy of Pediatrics Section on Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (SOGHN) in November 2023 and remains on the Executive Committee of the SOGHN as past chair. Chinenye Dike, M.D., M.S., is a member of the North American Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition Pancreas Committee. She also serves on the NPF center of excellence committee. David Galloway, M.D., is an associate editor of JPGN Reports and is well-recognized nationally for his care of children with intestinal failure. Helena Gutierrez, M.D., is the medical director of the Pediatric Liver Transplant Center. She is a member of the North American Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition Liver Committee. She is a member of the National Liver Review Board (NLRB), which is part of the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS). Traci Jester, M.D., also serves as chair of the Pediatric Affairs Committee of the National Scientific Advisory Committee for the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation and is on the ImproveCareNow Clinical Committee Rachel Kassel, M.D., Ph.D., serves on the board of the International Association of Pediatric Feeding and Swallowing (IAPFS) as director at Large: Physician and is active on their Research and Education Committee. She is a member of the NASPGHAN Professional Education Committee. Dr. Kassel is an active member in the Aerodigestive Society’s Research Committee and International Association of Pediatric Feeding and Swallowing Research and Education Committee.
