P ediatric Rheumatology offers comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic

Rheumatology

services for juvenile rheumatic disorders, including arthritis, lupus, myositis, Sjögren’s syndrome, vasculitis, sarcoidosis, scleroderma and other related systemic autoimmune and musculoskeletal disorders. In addition, an intravenous infusion suite is available for the administration of targeted biologic agents and a broader range of immunosuppressive therapies.

Also offered are specialty-specific clinics for patients with Juvenile Spondyloarthritis and Juvenile Lupus. In addition to providing outstanding patient care by expert clinicians, these clinics also offer patients and families the opportunity to participate in disease-related National Institutes of Health and foundation-funded research programs garnered by pediatric rheumatologists at Children’s of Alabama and the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
