Comprehensive diagnostic assessment and treatment are available in two outpatient offices in the area: Children’s of Alabama and Patriot Park. Consultative services are available for hospitalized inpatients with medical/psychological concerns and chronic diseases.

Psychiatric Intake Response Center (PIRC) The Psychiatric Intake Response Center

(PIRC), located in the Emergency Department, is available to provide

phone support to help adult callers and community providers find the best mental health treatment options based on a child or teen’s mental, emotional and behavioral needs. (205) 638-PIRC (7472) Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) The Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) provides intensive care for adolescents who do not meet inpatient admission criteria or who have failed outpatient care. The program is open Monday-Friday beginning at 8:30 a.m. and provides individual, group and family therapy. (205) 638-5060
