MARK LAW, M.D., professor in the Division of Pediatric Cardiology, named the second holder of the Lionel M. Bargeron, Jr., M.D., Endowed Chair in the Division of Cardiology.

MARK LAW, M.D., professor in the Division of Pediatric Cardiology, appointed to division director of Pediatric Cardiology.

NATHANIEL H. ROBIN, M.D., professor in the UAB Department of Genetics, named director of Clinical Genetics and Genomics Services.

EMILY JOHNSTON, M.D., MS, associate professor in the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and Blood & Marrow Transplantation, named director Pediatric Palliative Care Research and Education.

JAMIE AYE, M.D., associate professor in the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and Blood & Marrow ransplantation, announced as director of the Developmental Therapeutics (DVL) Program.

ERIN SHAUGHNESSY, M.D., professor in the Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine, announced as executive vice chair for operations for Department of Pediatrics.

SURESH BOPPANA, M.D., professor in the Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases, announced as interim division co-director for the Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases.

ANDREW WATSON, M.D., assistant professor in the Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine, assumed role of inpatient complex care (Teal Team) medical director.

JOURNAL LEADERSHIP ROLES

SANDEEP GUPTA, M.D., professor in the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Nutrition, reappointed editor in chief of the Journal of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition (JPGN) and JPGN Reports, two leading journals in the field.

ROBERT RUSSELL, M.D., MPH, a professor in UAB’s Department of Surgery and director of the trauma program at Children’s of Alabama, appointed as associate editor of the Journal of Surgical Research.
