CHIBUZO ILONZE, M.D., assistant professor in the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, was selected for Pediatric Hematology Oncology subboard of the American Board of Pediatrics.

TAMERA COYNE-BEASLEY, M.D., MPH, professor in the Division of Adolescent Medicine, announced as president- elect for the American Pediatric Society.

CHINENYE DIKE, M.D., associate professor in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, appointed vice-chair of the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (NASPGHAN) Pancreas Committee.

MATTHEW KUTNY, M.D., professor in the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, was elected to Children’s Oncology Group Voting Body Steering Committee.

ARIEL SALAS, M.D., MSPH, associate professor in the Division of Neonatology, named Southern Society for Pediatric Research president-elect.

LIVIE TIMMERMAN, clinical research coordinator II for the Division of Pediatric Rheumatology, elected 2025 Committee Chair for Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance.

NATIONAL AWARD

SMITA BHATIA, M.D., MPH, distinguished professor in the Division of Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplantation, named recipient of the 2025 American Cancer Society Professor Award.
