DAVID ASKENAZI, M.D., professor in the Division of Pediatric Nephrology, received the Neonatal Kidney Collaborative Founder’s Award.

DANIEL FEIG, M.D., professor in the Division of Pediatric Nephrology, received the Wallace Alexander Clyde Award from the Alabama Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

EILEEN RIFE, M.D., MS, assistant professor in the Division of Pediatric Rheumatology, received the Emerging Investigator Excellence Award from the American College of Rheumatology.

DAVID JOSEPH, M.D., professor in the Division of Pediatric Urology, received the American Academy of Pediatrics Section on Urology Award.

JAIME MCKINNEY, M.D., associate professor in the Division of Academic General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, received a Special Achievement Awards: recognizing exceptional work from the Alabama Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

OLAWALE ODURU, M.D., fellow in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition, has received a travel grant to attend the National Pancreas Foundations (NPF) Fellows Symposium.

ALANA NICHOLS, M.D., and GILLIAN GARVER, M.D., fourth year Med-Peds residents, have been elected for membership into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society (A Ω A).

SASKIA D’SA, M.B.B.S., fellow in the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, received the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition’s ASPEN26 Travel Award for Pediatric GI Fellows.

OLAWALE ODURU, M.D., fellow in the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, was awarded the 2026–2027 Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship Grant from the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (NASPGHAN).

KULSAJAN BHATIA, M.D., fellow in the Division of Neonatology, and Sam McCartney, M.D., second-year pediatric resident, received Southern Society for Pediatric Research Travel Grant Awards.
