Comprehensive diagnostic assessment and treatment are available in two outpatient offices in the area: Children’s of Alabama and Patriot Park. Consultative services are available for hospitalized inpatients with medical/psychological concerns and chronic diseases. Psychiatric Intake Response Center (PIRC) The Psychiatric Intake Response Center (PIRC) is available to provide phone support to help adult callers and community providers find the best mental health treatment options based on a child or teen’s mental, emotional and behavioral needs. (205) 638-PIRC (7472) Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) The Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) provide daily intensive care for adolescents ages 12-18 who do not meet inpatient admission criteria or who need more than regular mental health outpatient services.
