The center offers: • Complex repair of pediatric congenital heart disease • Treatment for acquired heart disease • Treatment for advanced heart failure • Ventricular Assist Device implantation and management • Cardiac transplantation • Treatment for pulmonary hypertension • Fetal cardiology • Electrocardiograms • Echocardiography • Exercise testing • Cardiac CT angiography • Cardiac MRI • Cineangiography • Catheterization laboratories (includes interventional catheterizations) • Cardiac Electrophysiology • Three-dimensional electrophysiologic mapping, which minimizes radiation • Hybrid catheterization lab (both a cath lab and surgical suite) • Dedicated same-day and post-anesthesia care unit • Heart-specific operating rooms • State-of-the-art 20-room Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit • ECMO suites (four dedicated to pediatric heart/lung bypass treatment) • Easy access to the UAB high-risk obstetric birthing suites and regional neonatal intensive care unit
